Each being is its own universe
The world – the universe, for all I know – is reduced to a single being, and that being is you or I, or, for that matter a king or a pope, a lion or the smallest insect that creeps upon the earth. Every being is the center of his or her own universe. And while we are so busy being the center of the universe, we seldom, if ever, realize that so is everyone else.
Who I am
I know one thing now that I did not know in my youth. It is that a man stays always the same age, somewhere down inside himself. Only the outside of him grows older. Inwardly, he reaches a certain age, and stays there throughout his whole remaining life.
Do I Like Growing Older?
I can hit the golf ball any way I can and laugh if it goes in the lake. That's the breaks. I'm just happy I can still hit that golf ball.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world, too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.
A chat with the author
First and foremost, thank you so much for your positive responses to my books, and an extra thank you for visiting my website which, like all my books, was designed by the brilliant Lisa Peaks, the most amazing book designer in the world.
When I told my wife, Lorraine, that I was going to write about writing, she sternly lectured me – “No more than 5 lines. No one is going to read more than that.”
